Lead a Workshop

The Center for Black Equity invites community leaders, practitioners, artists, advocates, and organizers to submit workshop abstracts. Workshops are a core part of the weekend’s programming and are designed to foster learning, dialogue, and skill-building around issues impacting Black LGBTQIA+ communities.

Guidelines

  • The title of your workship must be no longer than 10 words. Upon acceptance, this title will appear in all official DCBP 2026 materials.
  • There is a 150-word limit on workshop descriptions. Upon acceptance, this title will appear in all official DCBP 2026 materials.
  • Workshops should address a broad issue, challenge, or need relevant to the Black LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Workshops are in-person, interactive sessions lasting 90 minutes on Saturday, May 23.
  • Workshop content should be designed for a mixed-experience audience and should not assume prior familiarity with the subject matter.

Submission of a proposal does not guarantee selection. The Center for Black Equity will review all submissions, and selected presenters will be notified by May 1.
