Earl Fowlkes is the past President of DC Black Pride and served in that position for seven years before stepping down in 2004. He is currently a Board Member on the DC Black Pride Board of Directors. Earl also serves as the President/CEO of the International Federation of Black Pride (IFBP). The IFBP is an umbrella organization comprised of twenty nine Black LGBT Pride celebrations throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and South Africa.
Earl was recently elected to the Democratic National Committee as an At Large Member. He also serves on the board the Victory Fund’s Gay and Lesbian Leadership Council. Earl is the Executive Director of the DC Comprehensive AIDS Resources and Education Consortium (DC CARE Consortium) which is an HIV/AIDS service provider in Washington, DC. He is licensed as a Social Worker and has worked in the HIV/AIDS field for over twenty years. Earl serves in seven non profit boards of directors and community advisor boards.
