Patricia R. Corbett is a professional writer, published author, womanist, trainer, educator, and motivational speaker. Patricia is a much sought after speaker and workshop facilitator. Her workshops encourage girls, woman and other marginalized communities to seek their truth, claim their power and follow their dreams.
She is the Founder of Sisters Rising Mentoring, and has spent over ten years as the Owner/Operator of JUSTASISTA LLC where she utilizes writing, speaking and networking to create paradigm shifts in education, business and the community. JUSTASISTA provides a broad range of diverse workshops and presentations related to girls/women, diversity/equity, dream recovery, conflict resolution and mediation.  Patricia is also a member of Sister Care International Ministries where she served as a Board Member and assisted with the Women by Revelation Conference and created/ produced Independent Woman Month, an annual celebration of the liberation of the spirit of women.

Among her many accomplishments, she is the recipient of the 2007 Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council for Playwriting for her play Fall of the House of Snow, which will be featured at Atlanta Pride 2014.

She was also awarded the Banks-Koegel Commitment Award from the Youth Pride Alliance in Washington, DC, and the Founder of Sisters Rising Female Educational, Enlightenment and Empowerment Organization.
Patricia has several current projects in the works including her next play, An Awful Wicked Thing: Somebody Has to Die, a guide to creating your dream life, Take the Baton and Stories from Cool Lane, a book of short stories.
